First encounter with SENTINEL

I came into contact with SENTINEL's products for the first time and was surprised by their excellent craftsmanship, materials, and quality, which far exceeded my inherent impression of domestic brands. I mistakenly thought it was a foreign brand. SENTINEL's official website also left a deep impression on me, with no annoying advertisements or pop-ups, only clear and concise product descriptions and company introductions, as well as leading application scenarios. SENTINEL reflects an overall pragmatic and professional style.

Five years without any failures, stable and reliable

When choosing SENTINEL products, I had some doubts. After all, quality is the lifeline of a product, and good quality requires time and experience to accumulate. However, SENTINEL provided me with very satisfactory answers during the experimental and product application stages. Over a period of five years, the proximity switch, water flow switch, terminal box, distributed I/O, and other products I used achieved zero failures. Compared with international first-line brands, SENTINEL's product performance and lifespan are not inferior at all. What's even more surprising is that their prices are lower, but they have performance that exceeds their quality.

Issues

In the fieldbus solution, SENTINEL's equipment greatly reduces the workload of field wiring. Its stable and reliable communication mode is compatible with the communication protocols of major mainstream PLCs in the market, which makes me trust SENTINEL's solution. However, there were also some problems encountered during the process. SENTINEL's bus module does not have a dedicated temperature acquisition module, so I need to convert pt100 into a 4-20mA signal when collecting temperature. I hope they can develop a dedicated temperature module, and it would be best if it is compatible with type C thermocouples. In addition, proximity switches experienced momentary signal interruption in conditions of strong magnetic field interference or high ambient temperature. I hope they can enhance the anti-interference capability in this aspect.
 

Expected Improvement

In terms of product features and functionality, I believe SENTINEL's inability to expand remote I/O is a disadvantage. I hope they can develop plug-in expandable remote I/O product series, allowing for arbitrary expansion of digital and analog input/output submodules, further enriching the product line.
 

Online Response and Problem Solving

I am very satisfied with SENTINEL's communication method. They are always online and respond promptly. In terms of problem-solving, they have shown professionalism and comprehensiveness. Even during the past three years of the COVID-19, they have been able to ensure the timely, quantity-based, and quality-based delivery of products.
 

Future Outlook

Hope they can enrich the company's product line and provide more high-quality products. For example, products that can simultaneously collect flow and temperature, like a water flow switch, which can save users assembly and component costs. They have good industrial communication technology capabilities and can also try to develop some smart gateway products for convenient long-distance transmission of field buses.
 

Although there are still some areas where SENTINEL needs improvement, its product quality and technical support are already excellent, making it a proud domestic brand. I look forward to their continuous improvement in the future and the provision of more high-quality products and services.
