IO-Link Family's New Member: SENTINEL Leads in Launching IO-Link Sensors
Tianjin SENTINEL Electronics, as a member of the China PROFIBUS & PROFINET Association and the IO-Link China Committee, is committed to promoting and developing a range of products with IO-Link functionality. As a domestic industrial automation brand, SENTINEL Electronics is the first to introduce a series of sensors with IO-Link functionality. Today, we will introduce to you the Flow and Temperature Dual Display Sensor.
What is IO-Link
IO-Link is the world's first standardized IO technology used for communication with sensors and actuators. Its powerful point-to-point communication is based on the established 3-wire sensor and actuator connection without additional requirements for cable materials. Hence, IO-Link is not a fieldbus but a further development of the existing, well-established connection technology for sensors and actuators. Sensors with Integrated IO-Link Communication Function
One of the highlights of the new sensors is their integrated IO-Link communication function. It offers various operation modes including IO-Link parameter settings and button settings, increasing flexibility in use. The standardized sensor interface, compatible with international standards, especially the dual function design of the 4th pin of the M12 interface, serves both as IO-Link communication and as a digital output, greatly expanding the product's application range.
New Design: Combination of Aesthetics and Functionality
This flow and temperature dual display sensor not only iterates on the design concept of the old sensors but also adds many improvements in practical functions. The new panel uses one-piece injection molding, resistant to high-pressure water jet spraying. The digital tube dual data display supports mirror display and has a visibility of 3 meters, making data reading intuitive and convenient. The body can freely rotate up to 300 degrees, allowing for flexible installation adjustments to suit various work environments. It can adapt to multiple process connection probes, such as G1/2, M18*1.5.
Safe Operation and Custom Settings
The user experience of the sensor is carefully designed to provide maximum convenience and safety. Its button lock feature effectively prevents accidental operations, and the auto-exit design when not in operation enhances device safety. Moreover, the sensor supports flexible settings of analog value start and end points, and offers various modes, including normally open, normally closed, NPN, PNP, hysteresis mode, and window mode, to meet different user needs.
