New Product Launch | Output-Type IO-Link Converters

As a critical component of industrial communication standards, IO-Link offers advantages such as simple structure, easy installation, and robust remote diagnostics, making it a key enabler for interconnecting industrial devices.
To help users efficiently integrate traditional analog actuators into IO-Link systems, SENTINEL has launched two new converters from "IO-Link" to "analog output": CIOL-1AO-SC and CIOL-2VO-SC, supporting single-channel current output and dual-channel voltage output, respectively. These solutions offer smart and efficient analog data acquisition for industrial sites.
Product Overview

The CIOL series includes two distinct analog output converters:
CIOL-1AO-SC is a single-channel analog current output module supporting standard 4-20 mA and 0-20 mA output modes. It offers ≤12-bit output resolution and 0.1% F.S accuracy. Communication complies with the IO-Link V1.1 protocol, using an M12 A-coded 4-pin Class A connector, and supports a maximum load of 500Ω.
CIOL-2VO-SC provides dual-channel 0-10 V voltage outputs with the same ≤12-bit resolution and 0.1% F.S accuracy. Each channel supports a minimum load impedance of 4.7kΩ, making it ideal for voltage-based scenarios like multi-axis control, fan regulation, and lab equipment.
Both products support IO-Link process data and ISDU index parameter access, enabling device identification, remote diagnostics, and parameter management. The semi-transparent housing and LED status indicators offer clear visibility of communication and output statuses, improving operational efficiency.
Application-Oriented Design

Why is the CIOL series so practical in the field? Let’s take a look at commonly used analog-driven actuators:
In various industrial settings such as fluid control, process regulation, temperature management, and hydraulic systems, many actuators (e.g., electric proportional valves, inverters, dampers, proportional pumps) rely on continuous analog signals for fine control. On/off signals cannot meet the demand for smooth adjustment, energy optimization, or soft start/stop capabilities.
These actuators typically use 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signal standards, which is precisely the design intent of the CIOL series — to securely, stably, and intelligently integrate traditional analog devices into modern IO-Link control networks.
Summary
With the CIOL series analog output modules, users can directly integrate existing analog control devices into IO-Link systems, enhancing the flexibility and transparency of the entire automation system.
Whether for new installations or digital retrofits of existing production lines, CIOL-1AO-SC and CIOL-2VO-SC provide an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-maintain solution for analog device integration.
SENTINEL will continue to enhance its IO-Link product line, offering more efficient and reliable interface solutions for real-world applications.
